Soiree Baroque en Haiti is a contrasting program of traditional Haitian dance, music and song paired with the dance and music of the French colonist celebrating the 200th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Haiti from France. This production illuminates the complex cultural history of the island at the end of the 18th century when the fight for independence began. |
